WOW.  Maddy, I only know a little about you.  It&#039;s impossible for me to sit in judgment of your ENTIRE parenting skillset online.  But it sure seems to me that you are a beautiful artist, mom, blogfriend, wife, and plenty of other stuff.

What people like anonymous don&#039;t often understand is that autistic children usually require WAY more effort in raising than neurotypical kiddos.  It doesn&#039;t mean we think they&#039;re less of a blessing (as is implied sometimes), more of a blessing, or whatever.  Or that we&#039;re totally wrapped up in our kids because parenting them well may mean a lot of extra effort, trial and error.

And we&#039;re in a lot of unchartered waters in terms of &quot;how to do this well.&quot;  We do the best we can, and reach out to other moms and dads to try to pull each other along.

You are a tremendous source of encouragement to me. :]</description>
