Off switches and volume controls? What are these things? Your daughter is an absolute Gem! I take advice from older brother as well...he often reminds me what I've said about interacting with Patrick. It usually isn't helpful at that particular moment but I appreciate the effort on his part.

My daughter talks non-stop once in the car and I am not sure why. We (me, my SIL and Aviva) went to Disney a 3 hour and 15 minute drive and she talked the entire way. Did not care if we listened or not.

Ah, if we lived in California I would ask to "borrow" your daughter for a playdate-----on the other hand, my husband and I have big, big talkers. (Jim is a fast-talking Jersey guy and I, once a shy suburbia East Bay girl, have learned to keep up.) Charlie has learned to tell us "turn on!" when he wants to hear the music on the CD player in the car not us jabbering.........

Bede's still just humming happy to himself in the car when it's dark, but when it's daytime he reads every sign aloud and then chortles. Ah, hyperlexia!

But he's drowned out by the other four, soon to be five, child passengers.
