Photo Op for an old battleaxe
I notice an alarming new trend. Some little thief keeps pinching the digital camera. The result? When I load a new batch of photos onto the computing I come face to face with this tattered old woman, the poster child for “frownies.” She always has the same slightly blurred expression, one claw hand extended in a reach to snaffle back the ownership of the camera.
In an ideal world, this is a battle I should win because he is snapping photos whilst running backwards. Meanwhile I shall continue to fight my attitude if it continues to be captured on celluloid.
Today I am also over “here” at “Trusera” with “For Frantic Parents.”

Unfair. No photos of the mommy are permitted in this household. Not only am I shaped like a beach ball (or an Easter egg, more seasonally), but I genuinely have a beard. I wish that I were joking. Photos of me when I’ve been too distracted to pluck, wax, and/or bleach are a tad shocking. That’s before you count the expression, which is never a nurturing and friendly one. I’m an imposing figure indeed. I always expect that somebody should have to pay good money to get into the side show tent to view somebody who looks like me. Flash photos are strictly forbidden during the permformance. (sigh).

My daughter just takes pictures of herself! Nothing like some good old self-worship.

Now how in the world did they get a picture of me?!
I’ve been far too crabby today…
Tomorrow is another day to do better.

Oh my goodness, I just giggled while reading this post! You have such a way with words. Granted the story is funny even if told in a bland manner, but the way you tell it makes me feel as though I’m a part of the experience hehe.
