Hip hop what?

I watch my youngest son swirl on the hard wood floors.

My daughter watches him too.

So much pent up energy.

His motor mouth spouts a monologue of unfamiliar words.

“You’re going to wear yourself out with all that break dancing sonny Jim!” I say to his gyrating form.
“Break dancing?” she giggles, “what’s break dancing Mom?”
“Er…..sort of…..throw yourself about a lot kind of dancing.”
“Never heard of it, anyways, he’s rappin whilst he hip hops.”
“Indeed, is that what they call it these days?”

Verily, I must get a bit more with it.

    Hi Maddy,
Been a very long while since I have visited, and I wish I had time to catch up on your archives, seems I am going to have to become a member of trusera to read all of you.

I do have a purpose today though.
I tried finding your email address, and it seems my dim brain is unable to.

I am hosting a one day, Daycamp for children being raised by their grandparents, so the grandparents can attend some workshops. Of the 40 plus children registered, 6 of them have one form of autism or another. I wish to make the experience as pleasant as possible for them. So…I am here for ideas…or links to sites that may aid me accomplishing my goal…
I have already decided I will have a supply of latex gloves on hand.
I have several activities planned, but want to have several back-ups as well…any ideas from you or your readers would be much appreciated.

Oh, Maddy! This made me laugh…as did furiousBall’s comment about pop-locking! ROFL!!

Sunny Delight, you might wish to contact the site admin for the Autism Hub to ask if they could disseminate a notice to members asking for them to email you some suggestions. Clikc on Mad’s “Autism Hub Member” icon over there on the right side and you’ll get to the main page for the hub.

    Good luck!
