Special Exposure Wordless Wednesday

5 Minutes for Special Needs

Now is that exposed or protected from the sprinklers may I ask?

I take the advice of a pal!

Coincidence or not!

Cannot find the original Recipe for this “Million Dollar Shortbread” but this one is pretty “close.”

In fact it may be even better due to the nuts.

Shall we make that pounds as the current exchange rate should be in my favour?

p.s. if you are a cat lover [don't tell me if you're not] then nip over and watch this “video.” Caution = do not drink coffee at the same time. Kindly thanks to “Sam’s Stories” for putting me straight, in a slightly wonky fashion.

frosting looks delish! and why not use an umbrella in sunlight, too?

  3. HAMMER:

Thanks for the recipe..I’m going to have to get out my bullet making scales to get the right amount of ingredients because all my gear is in cups, tablespoons and teaspoons

I’ll let you know how it turns out.

That cat video was hilarious! The cat yodeling especially.

  4. Tanya Savko:

Yes, I loved the cat video too! Thanks for sharing it! Take care.

  5. mom2my9:

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! That cake looks too good!

  6. Marita:

Ahhh I knew there was a reason I baked when stressed, it was so I could turn the stressed into a dessert.

    Mmmm cheesecake.

  7. farmwifetwo:

Glad you liked it… and enjoyed your dessert. When did you find the time to bake???? I keep waiting for them to add more hours to a day.

LOVED the cat video! There are engineers in my family tree, and the video is sooo accurate.

However, I am asking please, Maddy, that you do not link to sites like Sam’s, er, people who share like Sam does. Very offensive to me. Perhaps it’s just generational….didn’t you say “no potty language” (timed just after I made reference to poop in my post).

The direct you-tube link will suffice for excellent parody by persons who are intellectually fast and feline-oriented.

  9. Jayne:

I’m loving the look of that cake!

  10. furiousball:

    stressed spelled backwards is…

oh … what a brave new world, miranda!

  11. Bonnie:

Oh my God that cat video is hysterical, I loved it! I think if I weren’t married I would have to seek out the company of the older guy, cute, enigineer (=$), loves cats.

Your son is brilliant, he can enjoy out of doors activites while still seeing to his sensory needs! Perhaps he’ll be a cat loving engineer someday!

  12. Bad mommy:

I just spent $2 large helping my cat survive a blocked intestine full of curling ribbon. I think that establishes my cat lover bona fides. And my poverty. And my official ban on curling ribbon in this house for the foreseeable future.

I love the vid - I’d seen it before while prowling youtube. There are these hysterical cartoons about “Simon’s Cat” and I found this while viewing those. Take a look at those also: way, way too descriptive of my cat relationship.

    Cake looks FAB.

  13. Meg:

Umbrellas are awesome! I’m enjoying your blog, too, glad I found you.

  14. Michelle O'Neil:

Loved this video, especially since we just got our THIRD cat last week. So funny!

And I want a piece of that dessert. YUM!

  15. Sandi @ Life with Jessica:

Love the umbrella pic..very clever! I wish I could find a nice, deep umbrella like that. The cake looks delicious, I may need to go find some dessert now :-)

  16. Carrie:

Cut me a (big) piece of that, I’m coming over!

  17. Cyndi:

    YUMMY! :)

  18. Nicole:

Brilliant answer to the sprinklers. :) I love the stressed sign too. :)

  19. Justthisguy:

Huh? I may be only very slightly autistic, but am very definitely male, so I say huh? again, and that I do not catch yer drift, Ma’am.

I’m very sorry to say this, but I think I need to have these jokes explained to me.

  20. melody:

    Sprinkler thought…much to ponder.

    Desserts…always.

    Photo of dessert…yumo!

  21. Shelia:

That cat video nearly caused me to pee my pants!
As you know, I live with the Bronte sisters, so I HEAD OVER HEELS FOR CATS!

  22. danette:

    cute picture!

I love the quote about stressed = desserts backwards, that’s quite a yummy looking dessert you have there!

  23. Melissa:
