“Yes.”
“I don’t get the medieval bit?”
“It is be look medieval.”
I found it. Medieval? Ethiopian dearie. Maybe we need a geography lesson or perhaps history?

Now see, I wouldn’t have known the difference between Ethiopian and Medieval in this case. Either way, it is an awesome shirt!

Technically, he’s right. It is Ethiopian, but with heavy Byzantine influence.
I’m an art historian. It’s my job.

oh but i can easily see the thought process. it really resembles a crest like you might see on a shield or banner and that he used such a specific word to describe the design and that he recognizes certain kinds of designs as evocative of that particular period….wonderful really!

I love the design. I’d lean more towards middle eastern than medieval.
