Having cast my ballot, I declare myself a goddess of civic duty. I hope you will join me today, fellow goddesses, in some heady self-worship after voting. I intend to eat a chocolate and limit laundry duty to two loads today. Blessed be me!

In WA we vote by mail - so this task has been tackled for two weeks (voted the day the ballot arrived) giving me license to simply ignore all political advertising and commentary since that date - what a relief!
Now I make a pumpkin pie, put in “Your Elected Charlie Brown” and wait for the returns.
Happy Election Day All!

Thank you - I took Michael with me and voted this morning. It was interesting because he does not like who I am voting for, although his opinion is based solely on one campaign ad that caught his attention.
I was trying to explain that who we vote for is like a secret and that each person gets to make their own decision and doesn’t have to tell anyone who they voted for. He was crying as we left the voting booth.
He is still hoping his guy will win.

I guess I have managed to tackle it then as I have voted and done my Civic Duty!

We voted at 9 am, no long lines and I still did work after that. I missed the memo, darnit!
Gus helped me vote and did really well keeping quiet about our choice, at least until we were about 5 feet from the door. But then we just rushed out.
