I remember at one of our IEP meetings, Isaiah's special ed teacher asked me if I thought "it" was related to the autism or just a kid characteristic (sorry I can't remember what "it" was now!)...but I can remember sitting there for what seemed like forever when I realized I had no clue! Sometimes I think it's harder to see in our own children...I felt like saying you tell me!!!!

Darn. You did not tell us the end of the story! I guess I can go on, not knowing.

Some parenting seems to reside in the cosmos, outside my brain, and I am looking for a way to motivate my Younger Teen (no diagnosis) to lock the car door after exiting. (Ooops. Just revealed I drive an aged vehicle - no key chain remote lock.)

Regarding your work-diligent husband's derogatory description of you (on twitter) gee - that's a tough one. So much depends on context. I wouldn't say anything to the listener. Talk to hubby later.
