5 Minutes for Special Needs

I took Thatcher for a play date with his sister. If my own children could play or play as quietly as this pair I would eat my hat.

Thatcher is the bigger, lighter coloured one. His sister is smaller and more Labradorish, “You can see the video here.”

If you enjoy caption competitions and photographs, you may wish to nip along to“DJ Kirkby” over at “Chez Aspie” and test your brain power.

As you are very well aware, the prevalence of children being diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder is increasing at an alarming rate. We would appreciate your assistance in helping us try to identify if the use of epidural analgesia/anesthesia and Pitocin during childbirth have any association with the development of autism.

If you are willing to participate in a survey questionnaire, please email Elaine DeLack, RN at elaine@edmsllc.com and the questionnaire will be emailed to you for your completion.

Thank you in advance for your participation in this research.

I would be delighted to help with any medical research.

My first daughter was born in the dark ages, i.e. natural birth.

My second daughter, born in America was induced with Pitocin because she was late. I was too late for an epidural but I believe I ate several pillows to dull the pain, as then I had fully functioning teeth.

My first son arrived early, too early for an epidural or other anesthesia.

My last son was born late, so late that he nearly arrived in the car park which was sadly too late for an epidural or any other longed for analgesics, unless you count gravel.

I am convinced that there is a causal relationship between giving birth in American car parks and autism.
    Cheers

I was wondering if Thatcher had any ready-made holes in his ears when he came home from his playdate. Perfect for a pair of earrings to match his collar

    That’s an adorable shot.
