It’s like when you suddenly look at your child and realize that he’s grown – obviously it didn’t just happen but it feels that way.

My son used to think he was a Tiger. Sometimes he wouldn’t come out of character for days.

I caught him drinking out of the dog dish once while in feline form.

Then he had a blue food stage where that’s all he would eat. I tried forcing other foods but ended up wearing them.

Glad your son is interested in growing carrots. It might even tempt him to sample one.

It’s true, it’s really odd how something someone was previously totally uninterested in, suddenly… something just clicks, as you said. I get that way myself sometimes. “Wait, why am I interested in this now? I thought [subject] was hideously boring two years ago.”

I JUST watched that video of Susan Boyle on another blog! EXCELLENT! This one just might be included in my next post, too.

This story is great, Maddy – going back and forth in time. “It can be difficult to see the big picture when you’re concentrating on the minutiae.” I’ll sign that!

I had to go back after reading to understand the top photo. Of course. In the second photo, I’m going to suggest he might need some (lots) of butter on his carrots.

i used to know a lady called mimi when i was a kid. she was a grown up already and was brilliant at meowing – in fact i am not sure if she spoke other than meowing. looking back she might well have been autistic – i was so impressed with her cat impressions!
