I can so identify with this age-difference thing. Our daughter is 14 yrs older than our son. For some reason, she seemed to think that she arrived on the planet as a totally well-behaved young lady. *snort*

Tell them England is like (New) Jersey now and you say “diner” tough now “drinks” usually aside from soda…….

Or, you can insist that you bring her along and she can deal with “pub fallout.”

Oh my dear, I do feel for you. I know too well the aftermath of a seemingly innocent, planted nugget of info that comes back time and time again to bite you in the backside. And, my sister used to scare her two when they were young by telling them that gypsies would come and get them. They were never snatched, but had a fright when gypsies were mentioned during Sesame Street – making them REAL. lol.
