From Neophobe to Chef in under 6 months

5 Minutes for Special Needs

Now that my fine friends is what we call ironic.

As such, I feel obliged to add a wee giveaway, not gently used, but slightly trashed due to constant usage, namely “Just Take A Bite.”

I believe I have read every book on the market ranging from picky eaters to real neophobes and this was the only one that worked for us. If you know of someone who might benefit from a healthy dollop of sanity, probably a parent, then send them on over to enter and win. It’s an expensive investment that was well worth it for us and I would hope to be able to help someone else through this torrid time. It doesn’t ‘cure’ neophobes, but it does offer a change of perspective and approach.

Thank you for pointing out that the clothes campaign still falters. One baby step at a time methinks.

If you enjoy caption competitions and photographs, you may wish to nip along to“DJ Kirkby” over at “Chez Aspie” and test your brain power.

Many thanks to the kindly anonymous bod that added yesterday’s post to Stumbleupon. If I knew who you were……

Cheers dears

That is wonderful…I stopped trying a long time ago. My boys have eaten the same five things for years-although they do let me vary those five things. What astounds me most is that they don’t care for candy-MY basic food group:)

    I’m on a mission today.

I’ve seen many parents ’stop trying’. I become cheerleader, too. This book must be a good guide. Thanks for the giveaway. I’m sure some other child will eat better for it!

what a long way he’s come. ironic, maybe. wonderful, definitely. oddly, today i have tales of my own food related weirdness as a child too.

thanks for the tackle it too. i need to make a clothes peg bag as my old one has disintegrated completely.

I think I inadvertently lied / misled, in that it hasn’t taken 6 months. He’s been eating just about everything for 6 months beginning from October last year but of course we have been working on desensitizing him to food since he was about two and a half / threeish. What can I say…..may brain and memory are crumbling.
    Cheers

I used to let my son eat only his preferred items until I “woke” up and smelled the coffee. Now he has to eat at least 1/2 of a non-preferred item on his plate if he wants dessert.

    That’s fantastic, Maddy :)
Maybe buy him some chef work-wear and get him into clothes that way?

I don’t need a copy of the book, as we have our own. I just want to second your endorsement!
