I agree with kathleen about the under-appreciated learning through cooking. Math. Science. Problem-solving. Language. Promotes social behaviors in the serving. Lots of perceptual, sensory and fine motor experience.

Not what elephant ears look like in Texas, but I’m leaning towards a broad definition.

‘sofar as the heat in the kitchen, perhaps child development could trump green on this occasion…lower the temp on thermostat!

I think it is great that he wasn’t deterred-by lack of ingredients..he found a way to do what he wanted..even if it meant changing his original idea of what to bake. sorry about the hot oven though-ick.

Awesome! Cooking teaches so many skills at once I’m surprised it’s not required in schools.
